Friendconnect  is code named Friendsense – like Adsense, it will be used to get a lot of information about your websites , track the referrers and ultimately allow any one to sabotage your websites.  When I was checking the logs of some of  my websites, I was surprised to find some one researching how I was getting content for the website.  I feel Adsense and Google Analytics are best avoided, too much power corrupts.
